Heroes Stages Rally
The Heroes Stages Rally is a single-venue stage rally organised jointly by Pendle District Motor Club and Garstang & Preston Motor Club at Weeton Army Camp in Lancashire. The event brings together junior, senior and Cross Car competitors for a full weekend of sealed-surface rallying.
About the event
The rally is held in memory of Les Fragle, who was widely respected within motorsport and the wider community. Les supported the Heroes Rally from its earliest years, serving as both Radio Controller and, later, Event Safety Officer. The organising clubs continue the event in recognition of his contribution and commitment.
Competitors take on a series of special stages across the private roads of Weeton Army Camp. The route is run entirely on sealed surfaces, combining tarmac and concrete roads, with some sections providing a demanding and uneven challenge. Recent editions have offered up to approximately 34 competitive stage miles.

Junior, Cross Car and senior competition
The event programme can include separate competition for Junior Rally and Cross Car entrants, alongside a senior stage rally. Competitors are divided into Motorsport UK classes, allowing a broad range of rally cars to take part.
The Heroes Stages Rally has formed part of championships including:

- F1000 Junior Rally Championship
- F1000 Senior Rally Championship
- SD34 Motorsport Group championships

For the 2026 event, entries were limited to 40 competitors per day and were accepted in order of completed application and payment.
Marshals
Marshals play an essential role in delivering the Heroes Stages Rally safely and successfully. The organising clubs welcome offers of support from experienced marshals and anyone interested in becoming involved in motorsport volunteering.
The regulations emphasise that the event relies on an adequate number of marshals and encourage club members, competitors and supporters to volunteer through the Chief Marshal.
Spectator information
The rally takes place on private Ministry of Defence land, and general spectators are not permitted at the venue. Access is limited to competitors, authorised service crews, officials, marshals and accredited media.
