Welcome to Pendle District Motor Club

Pendle District Motor Club Ltd was formed in 1974 following the merger of Pennine Range Motor Club and the former Rolls-Royce Motor Club.

Today, the club continues to provide opportunities for competitors, volunteers, officials and motorsport enthusiasts to get involved in events throughout the region.

The club is registered with Motorsport UK, and every event we organise is run under Motorsport UK regulations and with the appropriate permit.

Throughout the club’s history, we have organised and supported a wide range of motorsport disciplines, including:

  • Road rallies
  • Stage rallies
  • Autotests
  • Car trials
  • Hillclimbs

Today, we continue to co-promote two-stage rallies and independently organise our annual hillclimb at Scammonden Dam.

Whether you compete, volunteer, marshal or simply enjoy motorsport, there are plenty of ways to become part of the club.

A proud record of success

Pendle District Motor Club has a long and successful history within regional and national motorsport.

The club won the SD34 Motor Sport Group Championship for five consecutive years before returning to win again in 1996. This sixth championship victory set a new record at the time.

PDMC also won the national 1994/95 Shell Helix Challenge, a motoring quiz organised by Shell Motor Oils and open to motor clubs throughout the United Kingdom.

Our achievements reflect the knowledge, enthusiasm and commitment of the members who have represented the club over the years.

Pendle District Motor Club is a member of:

  • Association of Northern Car Clubs
  • Association of North Western Car Clubs
  • SD34 Motor Sport Group

These affiliations help connect our members with motorsport events, championships and clubs throughout the North West and beyond.
